Banditsu: The neighbourhood rapstar!

So I met up with Banditsu to have a mini interview! Love the vids and the lyrics. Such a lovely guy who's passion for music will give anyone motivation for what they believe in or what they are trying to do!

Why the name Bandistu?
Banditsu derives from the name Bandit a name that was given to me in my secondary school days. But I felt that the name no longer suited me after school. The 'su' represents growth. Also Banditsu is wordplay of Bandit and Ninjitsu lol. Used to be obsessed with ninjas as a teen and secretly still am.

Why did you start rapping?
I love hip-hop and my aunty would always give me the latest snoop and tupac since I was 7. Used to have a cassette Walkman. That love soon turned to a hobby and now I'm turning that into a career. I am very passionate about my work.

So your mum was a fashion designer, Had a shop in Covent Garden and had her clothes sold at Topshop. What was the name of her garments?
My mum she died a couple years back. Me: So sorry to hear that Banditsu! :(
Sharie La'mar in Covent Garden Neal street. Her clothes were also in Topshop with the concessions. It's cool she was a strong lady, I get my obsessive work rate from her. She deffo showed me that dreams are possible.

Do you still feel her around, was the motivation track about your mum motivating you?
Yeah it was. Me and others who feel overlooked. Certain times it's hard to keep going so that is counselling in an audio form, for me and the world! LOL

Do you ever get writers block?
All the time. lol
I just buckle down and keep trying till I have something. I was told once that a little bit is better than nothing. Simple words but so true.

How many Jordan's you got?
Only 1 pair. Bought em' late 09'. I don't think I can get anymore, there a bit too commercial these days. *huff*

I see alot of snapbacks in your 'Motivation' video, are you a collector? What one is your favourite?
Lol.. I was. But again it is getting bait (obvious). My favourite one is my Vans snapback the corduroy one.

Where do you like to chill out? What's the ultimate chill for you?
No spots in particular. It's funny because I feel out of place at all industry hang outs. I am much happier chilling with good friends. Movies, video games and smoking weed. (naughty)

Favourite rapper out there for you right now?
The list is way too long to be narrowed down to 1. Sorry. Top 3 though are Nas, Kanye West and Jay Electronica.

UK though, Its Wretch 32 all the way!

My Day At The Wellcome Centre :)

So I decided to have a fun trip to see an exhibition on my own at the Wellcome Centre!

Wellcome collection is a free visitor destination for the incurably curious. Located at 183 Euston Road, London, it explores the connections between medicine, life and art in the past, present and future. The venue offers visitors contemporary and historic exhibitions and collections, lively public events, the world renowned Wellcome library, a cafe, a bookshop and conference facilities.

These volumes contains an almost complete copy of the human genetic sequence. The letters represent the four chemical building blocks of DNA that make up the 'recipe' to build and operate a person. Brainy stuff! I had a look inside cannot understand a thing, this is cool stuffz..

Call of Duty MW3

This is a fairly new game. Call of Duty MW3. Modern Warfare on PS3. They have it on various games consoles but this it was PS3 I played it on. Some say it is the same as all the Call of Duty's with a few little changes. I had a go didn't get it *knew I wouldn't* I'll stick to wearing my wedges and talking about men's fashion for now! LOL! I guess I found I had to concentrate too hard.

I found and bought the ring from Rokit a while back but I still see them in some of their stores. This unique rustic look makes it look like you've had it for ages or it was handed down to you. The biggest reason I purchased this ring is due to my love for music. So all music lovers especially piano players, pop into Rokit and try it on who knows u may not want to take it off!
