The Great Ozwald Boateng

What you are looking at right here is one of my idols. This is Ozwald Boateng, A bespoke tailor, designer and a stylist. Ozwald has achieved many things in life but he had a hard time getting there. I guess sometimes going through difficult times makes you more determined and stronger hence why Ozwald Boateng is known for his passion for fashion to define the ultimate 'man' and his clean cut tailored suits.

Ozwald Boateng collection at London Fashion Week 2012. Do you see what I mean about clean cut. I cannot stress this enough! These amazing looks just had me in awe. I am never disappointed, the fitted trousers, the fitted clean cuts on every model's shoulder blade. The colours which are chosen for ever season are always on trend also. This is a designer who knows what this is all about to dress as a sophisticated man, a real gentleman. My favourite look is the third pic to the far right. The black and white very on trend this season. Just look at the fitting, whenever I see pictures like this from a show the smile on my face is just the cheesiest. Amazing! End of.

Ozwald Boateng has a film coming out about him being filmed for 12 years by Varon Bonicos. The UK release is on the 9th of March. I was one of the lucky individuals to get to view this film before the release date at a private screening.
This film was just saw real first and foremost. This film is not only about Boateng's great success throughout the 12 years but it also showed his private life also. I found this very intimate and I got to see Boateng on a more personal level the trials and tribulations he went through to get where he is now. You see it is not all about the glitz and the glam in this film you see how he went through life and how he overcame every single obstacle. At different sections of this film I literally felt like this was all going to be a big failure when something disastrous happened but he always managed some how to come back on top. The determination, the faith, the drive he had was definitely his medicine.
I got to ask Boateng a question "what was your motivation?, did you have any self doubt?" Boateng- "I just had faith, you need to have faith in whatever you do and just believe, Of course I had a lot of self doubt but I had faith".
That was all I needed to hear, I am grateful I had that opportunity to meet with Ozwald Boateng, he has now given me the drive to carry on in my dreams. I left that screening feeling uplifted, empowered, motivated. I am even more driven.
Hopefully one day I get to style for Ozwald or use some of his suits for shoots.
He is truly an amazing individual. It is a definite must see, I have given you all the link the preview for this film 'A Man's Story'- Every man has a story. But this man is truly blessed click here to view.

Outfit I wore to the screening.

Kendrick Lamar's Interlude on the Drake's Take Care Album

This is Kendrick Lamar, If you don't know about him I suggest you go and find out. I have a passion for good music the love for it is close behind me and my career as a menswear stylist.
Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper/songwriter I've known of him since his mix tape 2010.
I am SO addicted to the interlude he did on Drake's Take Care album. "Buried Alive", If you listen to the words, the flow just clear cut and so cool. This interlude sort of brings me into space. It is on repeat on my daily errands whilst out and whilst blogging. Such a shame it is so short. I love Kendrick's voice, felt it gave me a Andre 3000 feel.
I have given you guys the link to one of my favourite tracks on my playlist click here to check out "Buried Alive".

Just me :)

What did you get up to on this warm Thursday? It's about time London got some heat! It has been so cold any excuse to get my vintage dungaree shorts out! :)
As you see the love I have for my hummingbird pumpkin whoopie pies! They seem to love my thighs too as the calories from them are going straight there! For some reason I lost myself in it all and forgot about my diet and just scuffed it down!
Love you all my fans like a fat kid loves cake. I am that fat kid!

Peace and Love.

London Fashion Week *Day 6*

Serdar Uzuntas one of the best menswear designer in my eyes. I loved all of his collection this year. The fitted blazers, loose fitted trousers, just sleek. Not only was Serdar a lovely humble gentleman to meet he is very passionate about what he does. This collection is called 'Champion' as you can see the trophy necklaces and the blocks which they are standing on gives the competition effect. The dude on block number 2 was my favourite look out of the three men.
Sorry for the poor qualities of the pictures I have been posting up, my camera is on its way, please bare with me. I am a stylist who has now turned into a full time blogger. This jacket was also from Serdar collection.

This AW 12/13 'hound dog' collection is by designer Kit Neale. This was amazing to view, the models wear dressed in garments covered with images of vegetables. Also what was different about this presentation the models were all singing the famous 'hound dog' track. "You aint nothing but a hound dog", they all seemed to be having fun a different outlook on presentations as a whole as models are normally stood as a mannequin.

Now this is what I am talking about! Love these shirts by designer LF Markey. The cool prints from the zig zag to spotty shirts it is all going on. They were many collections in the Installation room at London Fashion Week but I must admit these were the first to get my attention.

As you can see I just couldn't help but to upload more than one picture from designer T.Lipop!
The one thing about this collection was the bags. I so wanted to take that fur backpack home with me. Just so on point, the white with the gold studs, just slick. I loved the tailored neck lining of the jackets and blazers. This is definitely for the stylish, stepping outdoors in the red jacket should make any man feel good about themselves. The simplicity but sophisticated look on the garments just makes them all winners.

Parra X Casio G-Shock

.

"It's time to PARTAAAYYY!!"
This watch is called the G shock Parra Watch. Casio teamed up with dutch designer Parra Rockwell.
It still keeps the original features of the DW-5600 including shock resistance, 200M water resistance, Auto LED Light with Afterglow, 48 City World Time, 1/100th Stopwatch with speed indicator, and four daily alarms.

Look at the cool pastel colours.

I love the pastel pink side, the choice of colours were chosen wisely.

'We may look light, but we heavy tho'. This watch is very light in weight also. You can purchase this watch at the G-Shock store in Brick Lane, East London. Closest tube station Liverpool St or Shoreditch high St overground station retailing at £100.

Just me :)

My fruit earrings I thought I lost them :S
I live in my Dr Marten pink suede creepers! Total comfort! Imma keep wearing em' till they get a bit battered!

London Fashion Week *Day 4*

So I went to Sophie Hulme's presentation which was amazing, although she doesn't do menswear Sophie has some bags which can be worn by men. I picked one out which I know can be worn by a stylish individual. Also the cool dinosaur you see in the back, Sophie has made that dinosaur into little brooches and necklaces.

This is the smaller version on the Globetrotter bag!

This is the bigger version of the Globetrotter by Sophie Hulme. The design on this is so cool! It's not heavy also. I love this bag I so want it!!

London Fashion Week *Day 2*

One of my favourite new designers Nova Chiu look at the array of colours! Yum.
They do a few garments for men this shirt was my favourite of the few! Gorgeous, just beautiful.

Just look at the detail on the colour! Just amazing and all these colours come together so beautifully.

You would say you dress stylish? You travel around town on your bike? Keep you and your bike on trend!
This bag is designed by Christina Hamilton.
This bag is so sophisticated. Reminds me of Mulberry also.

This jacket designed by Jayne Pierson. Her presentation was the best I have been to so far, enjoyed every minute of it! Super cool! I love this jacket I know it womens wear but it can also be worn by a guy I feel. I would certainly use it for my portfolio! It has an amazing feel to it also!

Me and Pandemonia the blow up life size 7ft doll! She was lovely we exchanged a few words whilst sitting front row for the Bernard Chandrad show.

Wore my leopard print undergrounds yesterday chose comfort!
Do I look tired?? I sure was!

London Fashion Week *Day 1*

Yesterday I wanted to start of with a tailored look to the start of the week.

So I had on tweed trousers fitted round the ankle and one of my favourite wedges, the back is cut out and the back bit is held together by a zip! Chose comfort as I'll be up and down all day!
Look at these! Guess I don't need to wear my eyelashes anymore this clever designer had my frame of mind!
These are by Stephen Jones Millinery.

Now this gold skull is actually a handbag! How cool!

Thank God for the designer Palmer Harding. He designs shirts but not any old shirts, I feel the same most shirts get forgotten about or covered with a blazer but these shirts have justified themselves as to why they can be worn solo. They come with little details and special designs. I really fell in love with some pieces hopefully I get to work with them got a great concept!

Loved these ankle boots! You lucky men with your big feet!

Alexander Wang, Yes I know, I know they are ladies glasses but I'm sure some of you guys with a small petite face can get away with sporting these beauties! I couldn't resist the leopard printed ones.

Who's Got What On?

Spotted these two on my way to a LFW tent. Love the guy on the right's shoes!

He wasn't very polite as you can see from his face! loool. Still liked the look so thats why it made it on my blog! The all black with a bit of white gives simplicity a whole different aspect.

I'm not well :(

I keep getting ill, maybe it is the determination of non stop work. But I rebuke all illness especially during LFW! But all the pain you can imagine I am going through them. I use the thought of letting myself go and not pursuing my career and my Mum being a nurse spending 12 hours a day on her feet as a whiplash to keep me going!
The best medicines that work for me are for the U.S still got some stocks! Robitussin is an absolute God send! Taking full action, whilst in bed I'll get customising!
