OLEK.

"WOW" that was my first word once I entered into Tony's Gallery at Brick Lane displaying street artist Olek's work.

Olek has crocheted her way all through one big space and has made a bedroom which has a very sad story to tell.

Olek made this piece displaying herself in her room. Suffering from depression but most of all she is childless empty baby arm chair...

"I do not expect to be a mother but I do expect to die alone"-Olek.

I think that quote was so powerful whilst being in this gallery and reading that quote I felt quite emotional.

You see all the writing on the bed and on the pillows, these are where Olek's deepest thoughts were.
